What is the eJournal Club?
eJournal Club is a web-based application that allows practice groups and/or individual physicians to receive CME credit for reviewing and discussing recent articles in peer-reviewed journals.

What is DIME?
DIME has been an accredited provider of CE/CME for over 15 years. DIME builds strategic and compliant educational activities using scientific needs assessment, learning objectives, principles of adult education, and outcomes. Activities focus on behavior change through education. Our CME mission is to improve physician competency.

DIME has been resurveyed by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) and awarded Accreditation With Commendation for 6 years as a provider of continuing medical education for physicians.

How is eJournal Club funded?
eJournal Club is funded through educational grants from various supporters.

How do I receive CE/CME credit?
To receive credit, you must complete the pre/post assessment questions, posttest, and evaluation. Once you have requested credit, you will be able to download the certificate, which can be printed at any time.

How are the moderators selected?
Moderators must meet the following criteria:

  • Nationally recognized expertise in their field
  • Extensive and recent publications in the peer-reviewed literature
  • Board certification in their specialty

What are the technical requirements?

  • Adobe Flash Player version 8.0 or newer
  • Windows XP, 98, ME, 2000, NT, Server 2003, or Vista
  • Mac OS X 10.1 or higher
  • Internet Explorer 7.0 or newer, Firefox 1.1 or newer, Mozilla 3.0 or newer, or Safari 3.0 or newer
  • Broadband Internet connection for optimal video experience

I clicked on the Launch Discussion button but nothing happens, did I do something wrong?

Please make sure that you do not have on any pop-up blockers.  If you do, a notice may appear at the top of your browser window.  Click that message and choose to "allow" pop-up windows from the eJournal Club site.

How long is each discussion?
Discussions can last from 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the number of questions asked following the initial presentation.
